You'd have to redowbload the set file anyway. We'd have big announcements and I imagine editing would happen in batches and very rarely.

While we don't have the user base to support many formats, releasing the sets one at a time might be a little less daunting. If WOTC released a 2000 card set it would be overwhelming, especially for new players.

That might be best. Stagger them by a month each until the backlog is gone, then release new sets when ready, at most once/season.

If the NGA Gatherer thing eventually comes to fruition, that will be the #1 source for Oracle text and card updates. If it isn't, the Cockatrice plugin will be updated regularly and is searchable from within the program, though obviously not as well as an actual Gatherer.


I don't think it's unreasonable to release errata every couple of months or so together with the banlist update.


I agree with everything. In the Pokémon competitive community, suspected bans are placed under "suspect testing" before being put to a community vote. I think that's something we can work with.

Honestly, I'm having trouble remembering the thousands of cards even when they do the same thing every time you cast them. Changing them will put too big of a burden on my memory.

Don't be silly. It's not as if Solphos block and NGA Masters are so powerful that they largely overshadow most of the other sets in the format, resulting in a format dominated by sets I created. Who would think such a thing?

Actually, I'm going through Velicta now and it has a lot of powerful tools for aggro, so it looks like Solphos and Taramir won't be totally format-defining after all.
