Information update from WizKids ::

Magic: The Gathering Creature Forge: Overwhelming Swarm is a series of Magic token creatures come to life in a miniatures release by WizKids. The inaugural set will be released in September, 2018. The token figures are sculpted in scale with WizKids’ D&D minis line.

The inaugural set release will feature 28 tokens spanning well known creature types from Magic’s 25-year history, including never-before-seen three-dimensional representations of Angels, Soldiers, Goblins, Zombies, Bears, Dragons, Dinosaurs, and more. Here’s the blurb -

Bring your Magic: The Gathering Battlefield to life with Creature Forge. Measuring up to 55 mm in height, each highly detailed Creature Forge token figure comes with a base representing one of the five iconic colors that make the foundation of Magic’s mana system. Mainstays like artifacts and Multicolored creatures can also be found in the set, each with their own unique corresponding colored base. Collect well-known token creatures from Magic’s 25-year history, like the Angel, Dragon, Spider, Zombie and more! Many of the tokens include translucent parts and all come as never-beforeseen three-dimensional representations!

Collect all 28 Creature Forge tokens from this inaugural release!


Each box containing 24 figurines will cost $86.76 MSRP.

Someone should let Wizard's know that it's really difficult to tell if these tokens are tapped or not.

I'm pretty sure each token comes with its associated card, so you just set the token on the card and tap the card.

it would be nice if they came with dials so they could also count the number of tokens

What if they were flatter so you could easily stack them during use and storage?

That still wouldn't solve the tapping issue. Circles just don't look any different turned sideways. You need a more elongated shape like an oval. For ease of turning, a rectangle would be best.

Seriously though, I've been wondering recently why they hadn't done something like this already.
