Yep, only three episodes in and they put it on hiatus because they want another show to get more viewership in that timeslot. I'm pretty sure those manatees that worked for Family Guy are now in charge of corporate NBC.
This really adds insult to injury after cutting 30 Rock down to a half-season finale, and after continuing with the Office for forty seasons after it should have ended.

Disappointing, but not unexpected. Viewers make money. As good as 30 Rock is, I haven't watched a single episode since TV stopped being cool. Which was a long time ago.

Nah, this sounds like something Fox would do.

I thought the last season of The Office was pretty great and the show needed to get rid of Steve Carell's character.

The hiatus sucks for me as a viewer because I want to watch episodes, but I think it's not the network trying to kill the show but rather, the network knowing that they can't grow the Parks and Rec audience but it's also the strongest comedy they have right now and the audience is loyal. With failing shows, bouncing around the time slot and hiatuses kill them because the weak audience doesn't care enough to follow the show wherever; they only watched the show 'cause it was on after the show they do care about or whatever. I think NBC knows it can put P&R on hiatus and whenever it comes back, the audience will be back. Meanwhile, they are trying to build their other comedies like Sean Saves the World, which can't survive on just the lead-in from Parks and Rec (and it won't because it's just not a smart comedy like Parks and Rec's audience wants).

But do I think it's a smart or great decision? No.

I agree about season 9 (especially Dwight shooting the dead body), but the 6th, 7th, and 8th were often really stupid and poorly written. And yeah I totally see your point and I'm definitely one of those loyal viewers who will take the time to watch it whenever they decide to air it. Either way though, I'm still mad about 30 Rock. The last season was hilarious, and could have been so much better if they had taken the time to develop Kenneth as the NBC exec.

I actually never got fully invested in 30 Rock. I think that show and Community are a little too on the nose though maybe it's just because I don't love meta humor as much as other people. I think the big thing for me is that I never cared about the characters on 30 Rock tbh. Like with Parks, I want things to happen for the characters.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is actually amazing, by the way. It has very good pacing.

Did you get past the first season? The end of the first season/beginning of the second is where it really picks up steam, and characters start being challenged more and becoming more sympathetic.
And nice, I'll try watching it. Andy Sandberg is the man

Ah, to each his own then. It definitely is more spot on, but I like that sometimes, especially when I'm doing something like rewatching the wire.

Swanson was in my town yesterday. He shopped at a vintage clothing store and at a weird toy store. I don't know what else he did, but facebook was excited. It's the biggest thing to happen here since Ellen Degeneres came antiquing here. . . We have a monument.

Oh, and one time Bam Margera went to a dive bar here - because Snoop Lion was playing a show. He wore a fake dreadlock hat.
