1) A user "Zinc" on the forum SpaceBattles.com created tons of sockpuppets, all with nicknames vaguely related to zinc, all using trolling of various subtelty. This caused A WITCH HUNT ON ALL USERS WITH NAMES RELATED TO ZINC.
I feel the need to applause.

What epicly successful examples of Internet trolling do you know ?

That is pretty impressive. I believe it was for the book about Mike Pence's bunny, but if so Amazon deleted the troll comments- but anyway people not only gave it tons of 1 star reviews, but rated trolling 5 star reviews as the "most helpful"- things like "Haha, no the book's terrible. I just wanted to disappoint anybody looking for a good review".
