How y'all holding up?

I'm living in a fairly isolated place (it's an island with a population of 60 000), and we had our first confirmed cases today. Everyone's a bit on edge, but we're far from being a risk area still. How about you?

I think I got it, but I'm not really sure. Makes it hard to know if I should fearmonger everyone I've interacted with or not. Doesn't help that I've been very slightly sick since like September or something and now I'm just very slightly sick but in a slightly different way.

Basically my breathing feels a bit irregular. I also have some mucus generation and possibly a marginal fever, but then I also kind of already did. But if I were to guess, I'd say yes.

@mown: are there a lot of cases in your area? I think that unless local healthcare providers are already over capacity, it would probably be best to go get tested just in case.

Hey Mown, without knowing where you're situated, I'd call your doctor. If you've been slightly sick that long, it's much better to be safe. This thing keeps getting crazier; depending on where you're at, it's gonna get harder to get tested the longer you wait.

I'm somewhat likely to catch it due to living near an heavily infected region and working in one of the few places of my town where people gather which was not shut down by the government due to being an aid to travelling trucks and similar.

Most of the population is going to get it, that's an inevitability. What's important isn't to stop the virus (which honestly isn't possible at this point), it's to slow transmission down so that the epidemic takes place over as long as possible, because if too many people are sick simultaneously then we won't have enough hospital beds and ventilators for them, and we'll have to let people die.

That said, I'd as long as possible for my lungs to recover from my previous case of bronchitis before tangling with this beast.

COVID-19 CHARITY SALE

https://www.humblebundle.com/conquer-co ... vid_bundle

Some of those games are damn good and the books seem fun too. All proceeds go to corona relief. About 6 hours left until the sale's end.

Doctors Without Borders is probably the best charity to donate to among those, at least according to GiveWell.

that's my favourite charity too. When I'm not donating to them, it's to Big Brothers & Big Sisters in times of normalcy.

It's worth buying that bundle just for the Jackbox

Told my wife about the humble bundle, and she got it as a late birthday present for me. Thanks for letting me know it existed!

It is really strange that there are still so many people not wearing masks on public transport *facepalm*.
