bc i was out last night consoling my friend that got kicked off a reality TV show and ended up hanging out with a bunch of writers and if you know about hanging out with writers it's like hanging out with theater people, but uglier and with more Pabst. so i drank my feelings.

wow the only things i unconsciously capitalized were TV and Pabst. damn.

I want to say yes but I don't know why.

Actually, the worst part was the way the chair went up and down and up and down and etc.

Well, that and the little bits.

Dentists in general terrify me. A couple of years ago I had part of a tooth punched out and had to get a root canal. The dentist's drill was in the shop, so he had to do the whole thing by hand with tiny plastic toothpicks and minimal anesthesia. 17 hours over two days. Most painful thing in my life.

The good news is that I told my current dentists this and he now numbs me to the point where I walk out of there looking like a just had a seizure. Yay for small, drug-based victories.

The fun thing for me Is I can't take laughing gas, it has a reverse effect on me because I have adhd. So if I ever need surgery that need more than just anaesthesia I get to be put to sleep :V

ADHD and laughing gas is bad? That sounds like a cocktail of shenanigans to me. Except for the surgery part. Most of the time.

Lots of medicines have reverse effects for add and adhd. That's why they give them simulants to make them calm down. Laughing gas acts like cocaine or something, its crazy. Had it when I was a kid and it was not good.

Indeed. Overprescribing Ritalin to kids without ADHD is an ironic problem, since (as a stimulant) after a misdiagnosed child would start Ritalin, they *would* display ADHD-like symptoms (and parents would then complain to doctors and dosages would get increased, which wouldn't make things better, and etc.).

It's really that stimulants still act like stimulants in a person with ADHD, they inhibit uptake of dopamine and norepinephrine. But a moderated level of that inhibition is what people with ADHD often need, (perhaps because their neurons clear that out of the synapse too much without medication). While things like laughing gas can improve dopamine reuptake, often exacerbating ADHD problems.

Anyway, I wouldn't want to go to the dentist hung over...yeesh. That extra vibration from drills? No thank you.

Hung over? Ouch, no. Thoroughly intoxicated? Maybe.
