Better is opinion based, I haven't been to Canada, but the USA blows Europe...and I guess Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait...out of the water in both variety of choice and uniqueness of brew.

This is so true. Everyone judges American beer by our mass produced crap. And yeah, American macro beer is pretty lousy.

But I'd put American made microbrews against anyone in the world.
