you like indie, you have no right to talk about any music being terrible

We like our terrible music because it is, in fact, terrible. Why do you like your terrible music?

Whether or not it's relevant to our current culture is perfectly irrelevant. What's much more important is relevancy to the individual. Robert Johnson isn't relevant to our culture right now because the whole nation isn't in poverty or depressed, but it's relevant to me because I fight depression every day. Same's true with any kind of music, no matter how much you or some other group dislikes it.
also there's plenty of good indie pop out there tbh

Well, why wouldn't we? Music is metal. Of course, music is also rock and classical, but they are the lesser branches of music.

Sounds like someones getting butthurt their music isnt getting exposure

My advice: talk about your music, nobody I repeat nobody is stopping you. But as Wil Wheaton once said "dont be a dick"

chances are i'll probably like a lot of his music. i like most non top 40 stuff/country, and even some of that stuff isn't terrible

I like some top 40 songs (LMFAO is pretty awesome, so is Kesha and Lady Gaga) but Ive never been able to tolerate modern country.

Hm. Well, aside from classics such as Iron Maiden and some Sabbath, my tastes mostly tend towards folk metal and melodic death metal, with some symphonic and power metal thrown in as well.
