Yeah, I just finished it. Now to fill the gaping hole in my soul with the manga, but that won't last very long considering there's only a few chapters beyond where the anime ended.

kill la kill is p good but the fanservice is really skeevy bc the ryoko hates her underboob costume and its played for yuks which is really lame considering the studio made that a conscious choice; instead of being debatably empowering like how yoko and psg used their appearances, it is exactly objectifying

i will still watch the show bc it is hotblooded and oozes style but any criticism and dislike of it on that basis alone is defendable

Watched through Kara no Kyokai/Garden of Sinners and Ao No Exorcism/Blue Exorcist recently. Must admit I didn't really get the plot of GoS, or if I did, it wasn't terribly intriguing. I'm terrible at predicting plot-lines, but I didn't get the feeling that there were any breadcrumbs at all here.

BE was okay, I liked for the most part. The protagonist had the same bothersome characteristics that many others have, but was generally more likable than characters such as Eren or Kamina. Some of the character motivations seemed difficult to understand at times. Plot was enjoyable, but I dislike their way of foreshadowing.

Dog and Scissors is relatively entertaining. I have a feeling that everything is supposed to be symbolic of something, but I can't quite figure it out...

yeah finally got a chance to watch the second episode. I want to love the show so badly but the whole outfit joke is already completely tired and uncomfortable by this point and its clear they're gonna keep doing it. Still gonna keep watching though.

I really, really like this anime. I mean, character development in anime? Sveet, sign me up. I don't know how I missed watching this series until now.

I watched one episode. While I enjoyed it somewhat, I fear for its staying power.
It's what I hoped Gurren Lagann would be when I watched it.

Currently watching Nisemonogatari, and I really like it, but it's not an anime I would recommend. I think it has a relatively niche audience, although I don't really know for sure, since it deals with topics I normally don't care much about.

I do hope you at least watched its prequel, Bakemonogatari.

Also, the Monogatari series are not really that niche. Heck, they're one of the most popular series sales-wise. The novels themselves where hits already (One of the latest, Koyomimonogatari broke 100k in the first week in Japan) and the anime series also keep going towards the top of the charts (in 2009 it beat out K-ON! easily in Blu-Ray sales. Only Evangelion 1.11 beat Bakemonogatari. But DVD-wise Bake was on top)
Just the Bake and Nise DVD/Blu-ray together broke over a million. But that's only the first 2 series. There's still a prequel (which is scheduled to air as a movie), a sequel (currently airing) and the final series (currently at the 3rd of the 4 novels)

Yes, I watched Bakemonogatari. I fill like Nisemonogatari delivers better on what I liked about the former, but I enjoyed both nonetheless. I really like the presentation of the show, but I wouldn't expect the average person to do the same.

Although the primary reason I started watching was because of this scene from 4chan.

I was a bit disappointed the show was nothing like it.

There are indeed not that many fighting scenes, and if there is fighting, it's mostly curbstomping like that. And you really need to watch the DVD-releases because TV is obviously a bit more censored.

Off the top of my head there are:
That scene with the Monkey in the gif.
Cat vs Araragi in ep 15 of Bake.
Martial arts sister vs Araragi in Nise.
The double-team during the phoenix arc in Nise. (Though we only see Araragi getting curbstomped. We don't see Shinobu in action unfortunately)
Snake vs Araragi/Shinobu in 2nd season.

I do watch it more for the story behind it. Can't wait for the current arc to end, so the final boss of the 2nd season will be dealt with.
