Huh, never even noticed this thread before. Lots of interesting new comics for me to check out, and a couple I've forgotten about and will have to catch up on.

Didn't see any mention of Zebra Girl.

It's been so long since I started reading it that I don't rightly remember when that even was. It just recently sort of wrapped up (the author said he plans to have it truly finished next year), so now would be an excellent time to start in on it if you're looking for something to binge read, and it is definitely very binge-able. It can be a little rough to read at times, mostly due to the early art style and panel sizing, but it does get better over time. Plus I found that I enjoyed watching Joe's style evolve over the years. I give it my heartiest recommendation. Here's a few early panels and then some later ones for comparison. I tried my best not to spoil anything too important.

I read through Lady of the Shard by the same author behind the highly adorable (but sadly canceled) Cucumber Quest. It's extremely minimalistic in both color and form, and uses the infinite canvas technique to the point that it sometimes feels like a tumblr comic, but it's short and sweet and I must say I was surprised at the directions the story went.

It's also weirdly done via coding magic on itch.io, so you kind of have to commit to reading it or else finding your place will be a major pain. I think it's short enough that most people can read through it in a single sitting, but I can't really judge that for certain.

Find it here

*"To YMTC it up" means to design cards that have value mostly from a design perspective. i.e. you would put them in a case under glass in your living room and visitors could remark upon the wonderful design principles, with nobody ever worring if the cards are annoying/pointless/confusing in actual play

Life The Necropolis is a webcomic by a guy who works at my local comic shop.
The sitedescribes the comic as such:
Life The Necropolis is a science-fiction adventure comic book about a wandering mercenary by Nick Klie.

Life is the main character.

The Necropolis is somewhere we haven’t been yet.

I'd go on to add that the whole thing has a very 2000AD/ HEavy MEtal vibe to it. Maybe through in the term "old school". Spice it up with "dry humor". 4oK? Cthuloid entities?
Ah, just look at the pictures and see if it's your jam.

I'm pretty sure both are still going.
