can we make them just go away? I understand the purpose of keeping the information so that mods can see what was posted, but it looks really dumb from my side to be scrolling through a thread and then just have a vaguely greyed-out post that I got rid of sitting there. I know you guys need to see it, but why do I?

You may always report it and ask us to delete it for you. I know it's not ideal and sometimes takes time for us to get to, but it is an option.

eh, it's not a huge deal or anything, I don't think bothering you guys every time I realize I made a bad point is worthwhile. I just figure if this is an easy fix that it'd be nice to have fixed. if it's not, then no worries.

I wasn't aware you could see them. I'll play around with the settings and see what I can do.

Turns out I can do a whole lot of not much. There doesn't seem to be a setting I can change to disallow you from seeing your own deleted posts. We'll probably need a Welder to make that happen.

That or I'm just blind, which is always a possibility.

What are you doing that you're making enough posts and then deleting them that it makes enough of a disturbance?

You could always simply edit the post to something more useful rather than deleting it?

I assume it's there so you can revert it in case you regret it.

I've also used it to do useful stuff like reserve posts at the front end of a thread for later use without having 10 posts that all say only [Reserved].
