Hello Everyone, The staff have been discussing some changes that we feel would be beneficial to the forum as a whole, and some of these changes involve where you'll be finding some of your forums. The primary one we'd like to get your feedback on, is that we would like to move the Off Topic Room up just under the Metaboard. We feel that making this forum more visible would aid in creating a bigger and better No Goblins Allowed by showcasing an area where everyone from all the forums could intermingle and chat about whatever topics they desire. We want to foster a community with you all where people feel free to move around the forums as a whole and get to know as many of our awesome members as possible. The other smaller move is to move the General Discussion & Advice of the Tabletop RPG section down into the Play-by-Post Area, as well as making World Building & Design and Character Building & Optimization subforums to General Discussion & Advice. Once that is done, the Play-by-Post Area would be renamed Play-by-Post & RPG Area. Lastly for that area, we would like to move the Forum Posting Games into The Goblin Underground to make them feel more accessible to the forum members who may have avoided them before thinking they were for the Play-by-Post and RPG posters exclusively. I just want everyone to know that we, the Mod Staff, have been more active than ever recently and are working towards making the boards better every day, and that we really appreciate all your support as we are doing so. Please let us know here if you have any concerns about these planned moves, or you can let us know if you're in support of them as well. All feedback is appreciated, because in the end, it's you guys who make this board as great as it is. Thank you. --Kiki-Jiki |

I thought the Off-Topic area was moved down because of... some reason or another? I don't have any objections, though, considering that place seems to get some of the most traffic. Moving the Forum Posting Games, which always felt to me like things born out of the Off-Topic Room anyway, into the Underground makes sense to me. The other thing... I can't really speak on because I've never used it. If I did, I might lobby against combining World Building with Character Building, but I imagine it was decided based on traffic/use and I am not really qualified to speak on it. |

Apologies: General Discussion & Advice would be the parent thread, World Building & Design would be one subforum for GD&A, and Character Building & Optimization would be a separate subforum for GD&A. I did not make that overly clear. |

this all seems reasonable to me, although like Luna I'm not really qualified to talk about the RPG section. but from an outsider's perspective it does seem fairly dead so compressing it might be good anyway, and it doesn't look like you're proposing to remove anything. |

We moved off topic down originally because it was a place for debauchery and madness. |

We don't view the OTR as a place of 'debauchery and madness', it's a space with great potential to bring the members of these forums together in a unique way. We haven't seen much conversation in this thread, so this will be your last chance to voice an opinion before we go ahead and make the changes in the coming days. |

I can't find the original thread about moving it so whatever. I'd prefer it if we weren't brought together but I am in the minority there. |

I support the change. I think it'll be a good place for disparate forumgoers to interact. Besides, No Goblins Allowed could really use more debauchery and madness once in a while. |

If it's not a massive spamfest, it seems fine. ~SE++ |

Did this happen yet, maybe a week-ish ago? I noticed sometime ago, that I used to be able to hit PgDn twice and get where I wanted to go with ease, but now it requires hitting End + PgUp and maneuvering the mouse... (hard life, I know) My griping aside, has something, either this or akin to it, happened already to explain that? I'm not seriously complaining, I'm just curious if this was the reason that I've had to adapt. |

Congratulations. This happened like 2 minutes ago and had me opening the wrong subforum 3 times. |

Me either. I'm actually quite opposed to change most of the time. But in this case, it's not like I can do anything about it, so I may as well enjoy it. ~SE++ |
