Can we have a function to queue up front page articles following a schedule, which will then post them at the appropriate time? That way razorborne can do his Featured Card column in chunks of, say, thirty cards at once, and not have to worry about hitting the post button on schedule like clockwork.

yeah we have that, it's partly a memory thing and partly that I don't get blurbs fast enough unless I start bugging people. I'm talking to Lazarus about cutting it down to a weekly NGA card for now, to try to alleviate those problems.

I totally gave up on outsourcing my blurbs. It just doesn't fit the COTW schedule.

yeah but I don't know the format well enough to write a blurb for a thing every single day. anyway I set one up for tonight.

this isn't really a feature request, but would it be ok to move this thread to the OTR? CC is basically dead and the main point is to let people know about a thing I did that I'm proud of so that's not a great fit. I don't bump it besides posting new videos, so it won't be super spammy, but if it's not ok I'll understand.

I personally check Creative Corner all the time. It's just that I rarely have anything to add, so I rarely post.

I do too, but I think it's mostly just you, me, alt, and sometimes POS.

And sometimes me! Actually, I'm surprised that the Grab Bag thread never took off. One of these hypothetical days I'll get around to uploading some old stories or scanning some drawings and put in my bid for darling of the CC.

facebook is a terrible platform for following content, it has a huge financial incentive for putting itself in between creators and consumers and choking off distribution unless you pay it.

Well yeah but it's still better than the creative corner.

Facebook's very nature makes it hard to follow creative content. It's a social networking site designed to let people share news and personal information, not a social media site for displaying works.

yeah that is about 1% of the problem. the rest of it is intentional jaggery on the part of facebook.

How would you even browse art on Facebook? I guess it's alright if you just wanted to search by artist gallery, but Facebook doesn't have much capacity for browsing.

"art" doesn't just mean visual art.

but you can browse an art gallery just fine on facebook, if facebook chooses to show it to you.

Any chance of you guys implementing embedded players for anything other than Youtube (things like Soundcloud, Dailymotion, Bandcamp, etc)?

Depends on how easy they are to embed. We already have one for Soundcloud.

Why is the search topic function not permitted unless you're logged on?
